Welcome Back (to me!)

I know it has been quite some time since I last posted, but, well, life happens. Sadly, there is only one of me, and so many things that are expected of me. Whether it be something at work, something personal, or a combination of both, it just had to be done by yours truly. But enough about that….

My first hope is that you were able to learn some things about SQL in my absence. If you did not, or were only able to scratch the surface, let me help you out in a very large way. Let me help you find a way to learn lots of things about SQL – whether you want to learn things about Data Analytics/BI topics, DBA topics, Developer topics, or topics about the Cloud – there is a great place to find them. It’s known as SQL Saturday!

Yes, SQL Saturday. You can spend one day – Saturday – in a single place, learning all about SQL. They cover many topics – mostly, but usually not completely, about SQL. I say “mostly”, because there will usually be a few sessions on Professional or Networking topics, but 98% of them will be about SQL or some offshoot thereof.

Most sessions will last between 60-75 minutes, depending upon the event. But there will definitely be lots of things to be learned that day. Of that, there is no doubt.

I also bring this up for another reason. I am a presenter of several SQL Saturdays every year. Please come out and see me, and several of my friends, as we try to show others what we have learned about SQL. I try to list the SQL Saturday’s that I’ll be at on this page.

I will be at SQL Saturday #721 in Raleigh, NC on April 15th. So, if you’re in the area, please come and see me! If not, go to a SQL Saturday – whether it be close to you or use it as a reason for a great vacation – soon!

Until next time!
